presence.

When you're looking at a man of God or a woman of God, and they're moving in the gifts, and they can be very miraculous, healing, prophetic utterance, you still need to have the perception to cut through all that and look at the person's heart. And that basically means you're going to have to get have a little bit of a relationship with this person to see where their heart is. Do they have a shepherd's heart? Do they really truly care about the people? Or are they just up there showing off or moving in the gifts? And that's a big deal, because, in this day, people are very concerned about deception and being under deception. We want to minister a perception, a confidence in people that, hey, don't be stupid. Get a relationship with this person. Don't just go by what everybody says. Oh, you know, this guy moves in tremendous gifts. And wow! he's got such perception, and he can read you upside down and downward. That does not mean anything.

What does he do in the background, that's what's in his heart.

Because we're talking about the restoration on a new level. Not only is it a restoration, but it's creating the prophets for this day. They're unique to this day, every time God has brought a major change in this,- the dying of the church age - that we're seeing pass away. And coming forth of His ecclesia His family, we see this restoration of things like apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and all these ministries are different in this day than they were in the day before. Yeah, we're talking about a prophet. And it's amazing, because if you stop and think about it, I would say a prophet spends 80% of his time, before the Father, in a relationship of being taught, and having things imparted to him. That relationship with the Father is huge and foremost in his life. Now, the “what” is the other 20%? That's the time when you would maybe see him prophesy, or sit, just speak. It doesn't have to be some formal, get up in front of people and pound, the pulpit and all that kind of stuff, or be a projection of things that might happen. It's an impartation, that comes with his voice.

Comes from his heart, to care for the people. That compassion. What he says is a very small percentage of what he says deals with circumstances beyond him and the people. He's imparting the heart of the Father. He's a creator, and in turn, he's being created. It's a whole different picture than we see on television. What we saw in times past, a prophet in this day has no position. Where does he belong in the hierarchy? The hierarchy is dead. And what is left? It's a family. God's anointing on someone is obvious for all to see. What is a prophet, the rest of the gift ministries, just think of the opposite of what you think he is, or she. In the Scriptures, prophets and prophetesses were not limited to gender, God is not limited and especially in this day, the limitation has been taken off.
A prophet, hear and they see, they have perception, it goes deep within them. The compassion, they're feeling deep in their heart. Another name for a prophet is an intercessor. And a prophetic prophet: his intercession is not trying to change things, necessarily. His intercession is between you and the Father. As a prophet, he's given the perception. And both the vision and the internal, he understands the situation. So what does he do? Does he run over to your house and try to straighten you out? No, he goes before the Lord on your behalf. As an intercessor, that's a great deal of the time. I was talking about 80% 20%. Maybe it's 90 and 10? But the amount of time that a prophet spends quietly before the Lord, on your behalf, is that ministry that is being restored and creating in this day. Because, remember, Christ, paved the way on the cross, to bring forth those gift ministries. That Prophet hears that so and so was having a rough time. Okay, what does he do first? He first goes to the Father, he goes to the Son, those guys are hanging out on your behalf. That's because a prophet listens. He listens to the heart of the Father, for these people. He's the conduit to the heart of the Father.

I would question how much this kingdom prophet will differ from the New Testament prophet and the Old Testament prophet in that, I don't think he'll be that much of an outward expression. But I think he'll walk through a room, and he'll impart the presence of the Lord, just because of who he is. He'll have a conversation with a little child, just loving them, and change their whole life. Because he spends 99% of his life in the presence of the Father, he can't but help change everybody, just because of who he is. It's going to be different. But they're so hidden in the body of Christ, that they're not going to be lauded on. You'll have to dig in deep and find him.

The two basic qualifications are unselfishness and faithfulness. That's a prophet.
