Being Led By The Holy Spirit Today

Dale:

The Holy Spirit will fill our mouths, our hearts. We humble ourselves and that lets God come through.

Deborah:

I think we have to be led of the Holy Spirit then we will do the things that God has for us to do. If we start out our day asking for the Holy Spirit to lead us, to direct us then we are going to be led of the Spirit to those that the Lord has prepared.

Laurie:

Yeah, I had a couple of experiences I wanted to share. Many years ago, I went with my daughter to go see my dad and stepmom. They were elderly and the place was a mess. I mean there was knee-deep trash in the little bathroom, and you know the kitchen and everything and so, my daughter and I started cleaning and got the place back in shape. When we were leaving my dad looked at me and said, you know you guys didn’t just come here. You brought something with you. I had a similar experience when I retired I had to do an exit interview with the director of engineering. She was talking to me and stuff, she says, you know you brought something here. Brought something with you and I think that people who are sensitive are going to see the Lord, and who you are. It’s not that your, you know was I perfect there? No, but it just comes through. People know it is not just you. You’re bringing the Lord with you.

Sandy:

I do feel like there are times when the Holy Spirit does specifically lead a person. I have been finding that more and more and you can confirm to yourself that it was the Holy Spirit when you see the results. When the Lord leads you to talk to a person in a restaurant or just Sunday morning during the meet and greet that we had. The Holy Spirit led me to this person who had been to this service several times but I had never talked to her before. And I went over there and by the time we were done, she was balling on my shoulders. That wasn’t me that was the Holy Spirit and I think as we keep opening our hearts to the Holy Spirit. But it was because I knew that the Holy Spirit was leading me. Yeah definitely you go there and you expect the Holy Spirit to be there but there are those times when the Holy Spirit is specifically leading you. And what the human wants to do is to ignore it because you don’t want to interfere with that person. But it is the Holy Spirit.

Dale:

It’s one of the things that makes walking with God so exciting. Because one minute your are kind of just floating along or whatever and the Holy Spirit will lead you to a person. Will lead you to a place. And then there is those times where you just knew what to do. Because there is an awareness and I would say there is something working in you. Things that are established. You don’t stop and think to breathe and I think the more we walk with God the more His nature is imparted to us that we do things that are automatic. It’s fun to walk with God because we come to the place where we’re willing to do what it takes.
