Christ The Open Door To The Father

Christ in you as the hope of glory. I think one of the things we realize is, how do we get to the Father? And that's through Christ. There's no other way to get to Him. That's why the beginning of the Lord's Prayer is so simple. They ask Him a question: How do we pray? And His response was very simple. “Our Father.” That tells me the purpose of Christ in my life. All the things that He did were to lead us to the Father. We're actually joining Him, because where is He right now? He's at the right hand of the Father. So what do we become? We become sons. And that's what the Father is looking for. He wants to take up His abode within us. That abode is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The thing that's nice about that is that's kind of a crowd, so guess who's leaving? I now have a new nature. I'm born from above. That new creature is what the Father is creating in this day. And how are they created? There's only one door to that new creature. And that is Jesus Christ, Yahshua Messiah. We're all one family. We've all taken our place, that He has created, that He might move through all creation.

To me, Christ came as an open door to the Father. He came in the earth as just a human just like me, came into the earth as a human being. And then God disciplined Him and He became a provision for humanity, or for all creation, to get back to the Father, because we were cut off from the Father. For me, Christ is my open door to relate to the Father, to have a relationship with the Father. Now, does that put Christ down? Do I forget about him? Do I, No! Of course not. There are a lot of people in Christianity that stopped with Christ, they stop with Christ, He came to open the door for you to have a relationship with the Father. And I know it sounds like semantics, but it's not. You need to be able to relate to the Father. Yes, you have to relate to Christ. Yes, He is the door, but you can't stop there.

If we walk far enough, in Christ, we see the Father's heart. That's right. People stop and never have a relationship with the Father, because they never grow in Christ, beyond initial salvation, or maybe speaking in tongues or something. You know, that's about where it stops. But the deeper our relationship with Jesus Christ, the more the Father opens up to us. That's the nature of Christ to reveal the Father to us.

That's great, perfect way to explain that.

That's exactly what He says in verse 18, of John 1:1. It says, “No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten God or Son is, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.” He's the only guy that ever could explain the Father, because He's, He's been with a Father since the very beginning. “In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.” Who's the He talking about Christ, right? You know, you just can't separate the two, they're one. And it's been that way forever. And then you go into John, 14, 15, 16, and 17. And the whole impetus is Christ is trying to express the love of the Father, and the relationship He has with the Father to the disciples, and is trying to draw them in to that very relationship. And it doesn't happen without oneness.

Do you want to know the Father? Do you want to know the Father's heart? Keep reaching deeper into Jesus Christ, and you'll see the Father. I think that's again, that's how it works. If we walk far enough in a relationship with Him, and like I said, most people don't carry their relationship with Christ that far. They just stop. That's what Jesus told Philip, keep saying, show me the Father. He says, Philip, have I about been so long with you, how can you say show me the Father? If you've seen me, you've seen the Father. Well, that doesn't become obvious until we reach far enough into Christ. We grow enough we can begin to reveal the Father to us. I think that's a living reality that, that the Lord Jesus is. It's always revealing the Father to us, if we move deep enough into that relationship in order for Him to do so, you know,

And I like to take that another step, Roger, because someone could say, Well, okay, Roger. So then how do I reach into more of Christ so that I can learn the Father? Who is Christ? Christ is the word of God. Where is the word of God? In your brother and your sister.

And you don't get to know one another unless there's a relationship and the relationship has to start with the word. And who is the word? Christ. He was the Word made flesh. He's the one who explains the Father. He's the one who opens the door for the relationship to expand from the son to the Father. See how that relationship functions and then we're included in that as we hunger and thirst after this.

I like to just read something here that goes right along with right where we're at. It's titled: Bring Forth the Dawn. Bring forth the dawn for the time has now come, that all mourning and weeping be castaway. Create a new as you speak forth word, for we're pressing into a new day. Shout at the walls, it's standing in your way and rejoice as you see them fall. Lift up your eyes and behold a new day where we live by a trumpet call. Oh sons rejoice, for the word has now come that will bind and will loose and will set you free. Leave all behind for the word has now come that will create a purity. Bring down the faith that contains a new age and displaces the vision of yesterday. New expectations are filling our hearts as we're pressing into a new day.
