Expressions Of Our Worship

To “reverence” our Father is to love Him in an expression that is broken and contrite.

We are on a path towards becoming spiritually mature as sons and daughters of the King. This path requires that we break the bonds with our fleshly desires, emotions, thoughts and feelings and make Him more important than anything within our own human existence.

When in warfare, David expressed from his heart (paraphrased)…”the Lord will hide me in the secret place of His tent and lift me up on a rock…and now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me; and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy. I will sing praises to the Lord.” Psalm 27:5-6.

To be thankful, the spirit of thanksgiving living in me becomes more important than what I feel. I need to know that the battle is truly the Lord’s and not mine. Therefore, I refine my focus. He is Love…and my free will to worship Him in everything I do is what I choose to do. I want my heart to be obedient and focused moment by moment to live in His presence.

He is always watching my heart’s expression,… as I am likewise, driven in my heart to keep the Father in my sight. “Father-God” is my Protector. I am always aware that in choosing to be thankful for His presence, I am simultaneously choosing to be transparent about “my stuff” that could trip me up. His presence helps me be truthful and honest about myself. In His atmosphere of a worshipful heart, I choose to turn every errant thought completely around 180 degrees,…back toward Him…. in all I do and think. I will shine with the light of His glory….because of His worship in me.

Psalm 31: “Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant; Save me in Thy loving kindness. It is all about us worshiping our Father, in humility of heart, everywhere we go.
