Walking With Christ In His Family

Ron:

The Lordship of Jesus Christ, the enemy of it, it's the headship of man versus the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We know that the Lord always uses and moves through channels, human beings. That's how He manifests Himself. If you look through the scripture, that's really what He uses. The Lordship of Jesus Christ comes through people.

If you believe that, then you start realizing that the Lord's speaking through your family or those around you. And so if you're looking for confirmation, if you're looking for the leading of the Lord, that word you're looking for, that direction you're looking for, is going to come through your brother or your sister.

We're really seeking the voice of God - it's not that He's not going to speak to us, but we need to be really careful as how we walk, listening for confirmation or the voice of the Lord through our family. What I'm trying to get at is the Lordship of Jesus Christ. If you're saying that you're submissive to the Lord, then what you're really saying is, I'm submissive to my brothers and sisters.

I know it takes revelation of Christ in one another. The lordship of Jesus Christ is gonna come through men and women of authority. It's not God in the sky. Don't go looking for Him somewhere else when He's placed Himself in His family.

Dale:

You find the Lordship of Jesus Christ in one another and all that He is it's conveyed in that relationship.

Ron:

You must have your eyes, the eyes of your heart enlightened. You must have a spirit of revelation and knowledge from Him so that you can see Christ in yourself and Christ in your brother.

If you don't see it, you're not going to submit. You're not going to look for the leading of the Lord through another human being. Why would you? This thing of the family, well, people have concepts of family. This is a family that's never been on the face of the earth, never operated on the face of the earth. And it's relationships that are completely created by a living Word from God, created by the Spirit of God and by revelation and by perception and by understanding and by knowledge, but not human stuff. It's by the Spirit. And this is where the body of Christ is not only going, but growing.

Debbie:

You know, I think when you're, when you have a walk with God at the beginning of your walk with God, you're not very mature yet. You're still a young child. You're still dependent on others to help you , and enable you to do things . When you've had a walk with God for a long time, you know, when you hear Him . You have a revelation and understanding of what He's saying, because you have ears that are tuned in to the presence of the Lord, which we always have to make sure they are.

There's people that think, oh. I could just go to someone and they'll tell me exactly what to do and exactly what the Word of God is. That's not where it's at. Be careful of that. As long as you're in a relationship with the Lord, and you're talking to the Lord, and you're asking Him to show you, and the Holy Spirit is leading you, then you'll know . You can have an understanding of the presence of the Lord as a young one, as a young believer, as a new believer . Then your required a giving of yourself to others that are more mature than you are, that have a mature relationship with the Lord. And that You have to pray and ask for a leading, to know the leading of the Lord in.

Ron:

If you take a child by the hand and you start leading him, you're not even telling him where you're going. It's kind of what the Lord does for us. He leads our life. He doesn't necessarily lead us with understanding. In fact, the scripture says, trust in the Lord with all of your heart and don't lean on your understanding.

Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your paths. Nothing to do with your mind or your understanding has a lot to do with an open heart. The heart's open. The Lord takes that and goes, okay, here we go. Where are we going? Come on, here we go. And away He goes. And so you go through, I know that you go through many things in that leading of the Lord. If someone asks you, you go, well, I don't think I'm being led. My day was terrible today; this happened and that happened. And the Lord was leading you through every one of those things.

Debbie:

Every day we just say, Lord, I'm open to you. I want to hear your voice. I want to know who you are. I want to know what your leading is. I want to be led of your spirit. I want to be led perfectly in the path that you set before me.

Ron:

So you're asking Him, and you're looking for Him to speak to you. He doesn't have to speak to you directly, does He? Out of the air. In fact, probably not. Because He's requiring you to have relationships with the family where He can speak and minister to you. And there Lordship of Jesus Christ through the family.

Debbie:

That's why it's important we stay connected in with the body of Christ or with it with the family. Without that You could go astray really easy . You could go off and do bunch of stuff and think you're doing the right thing When you're not and the Lord has to catch you up short.

Ron:

Does that come back to that scripture? It talks about Lord Lord We did many mighty works And He says, I never knew you.

Debbie:

That's a catch up short word.

Ron:

I don't want to have an image of God that He's not. Sometimes the Lord comes to you in ways through people that is not very pleasant and crosses your will.

And. Yeah, you can balk and you can get upset, done that, we all know what that is, okay, so we go through that, do we learn?

Dale:

Jesus is called Savior in the Scriptures only 16 times. Jesus is called Lord - and in my preference - sovereign over 700 times. And I think that's why there's such a drive that the Father had throughout the scriptures in understanding what we're talking about in the family with Christ as the head.
