THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
As we give ourselves wholly to God’s Word, it penetrates our hearts, dividing from soul and spirit, joints and marrow and judges the issues in our hearts. This same Word then becomes within us His sword that the Holy Spirit can bring forth in the power of the Spirit as we speak it forth to do His will in the earth.
The Helmet of Salvation
To become effective as a spiritual warrior we must put on the armor of God. The helmet of salvation protects that which we have appropriated and become in God by His Word. This piece of armor not only protects us form the assault of the enemy, but it houses all the living promises that God has made real to us and becomes the lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives.
Our Shield Of Faith
In these last days when the Satan is trying to wear out the saints, we must put on the full armor of God to be able to stand. The shied of faith is a piece of this armor which enables us to extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked one and manifest Christ victory in this earth.
The Preparation Of The Gospel Of Peace
The preparation of the gospel of peace becomes all those hours and times that you spent alone with Him. Getting into the scriptures is preparing you before hand, so that when you run into situations spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally you are prepared. Are you spending time in His Word each day? Are you listening to the Father and growing in your relationship to Him?
The Breastplate Of Righteousness
In this end time conflict, God has given us spiritual armor that we must put on. The breastplate of righteousness protects our hearts from the enemy’s fiery darts, and is the expression of Christ’s righteousness coming forth within us.
God’s Armor For His Family
Christ’s many membered body today must put on the full armor of God to withstand all the tactics of the enemy. Each part of His body may supply a different aspect of this armor and be a unique expression in His body. God has put together the body so that there should be no division in the body, but that each part should have an equal honor and expression to help complete the full manifestation of His body today.
