Introduction:

Hello everyone well today there is a couple of questions that I would like to present. One is are you aware of the children around you? Do you reach out to those children to minister love to them? I am Ron your host and today the family discusses many ways that we can reach out and give love to the children that are around us all the time.

One of the things that we can do to communicate and relate to small children especially if you’re strangers. It seems that there are children who are kind of recoil sometimes but most of these little kids if you’re in the checkout line of the local grocery store they're sitting there in the back of the grocery cart facing away. Mom is unloading all the groceries, they got nothing to do. And you pull up behind them and the first thing they do is look up at you. Cause there looking for something to do. And one of my favorite situations to where I like to wink because every little kid likes to wink. And some of them you know they’ll try to wink and they will wink both eyes instead of one. Then you can make noises at them. Like you go with your lips you go beb beb beb beb and then they will try to do it. And pretty soon you got a relationship going with this kid. I love to love them because they’re so loving, they're looking for love, and they're willing to give it. You smile and you play games with them and you just have a rapport with that little child. Then they wave and I have seen mothers push their kids off in the carts and their leaning over in the cart waving goodbye to me. They don’t know me from Adam. But they do now, they know that I can convey to them the love of the Lord and the love of an adult who could be threatening or could be a problem. Nah, no walls, their walls are down we’re having a good time, and guess what. I had a good time too. We can set up those situations. Go the grocery store and look for them. And watch for the boy or girl who’s two or three years older than the child or the baby in the car seat or in the seat of the shopping cart. Don’t forget them cause their feeling a little left out and most of them watch them. Their just kind of going along you know and their kind of frowning and wish they were home doing whatever. Well, make over them too. Those are the ones, especially the little girls. Are those new shoes, boy those are nice looking shoes, those are beautiful shoes! And your dress that is just wonderful and did mom do your hair? You can develop a conversation with them and the little boys, look at what is on their shirt. Do they have cowboys, do they have baseballs, footballs, or what’s their team shirt? Can you say, oh what’s that so-and-so state university, don’t they play football? Do you watch them on TV? Look there are all kinds of little keys that you can pick up that can open the door. You’re ministering, you’re blessing them, and watch out for mom, she will turn around smile at you even without saying a word those mothers and fathers and usually it is one parent or the other. They’ll leave and they will say thank you the little girl will wave and they’ll wave there you’ve even got to mom and dad.

If you look through the scriptures, you will see that Christ had a tremendous interest in children. And of course, He had that strong spiritual draw then the people were trying to push the children away. And you know He said, suffer the little children unto me. What did He do with those kids? It doesn’t say. And what I think He did to them, I think He talked to them. And I think one of the things He did I know for sure as He talked to them He was very conscious of imparting His spirit to them. And I think that’s; We can do and should do. I have a lot of fun with parents. Especially parents the age of my children. Because my children are having children, so I can relate. Here is a woman who’s like my daughter. I love to find boys that are just uncontrollable. They're running around and everything and I will say things like. You know get him to turn the other way when he runs, that way he will unwind. That always gets a laugh. And you know these poor mothers are at the grocery store, they’re at different places, they’re out in public and I was at the Post Office leaving the Post Office and here is this kid six or seven years old running up and down, running up and down the sidewalk he must have been penned up in the car for three days. And she is just standing there little bewildered and she calls out his name and he keeps on running. And I said I told her I says you know you let him go a couple more laps and he will sleep through the night. She thought that was funny and that started a conversation about this little boy and she says that he is at that age, he is so full of energy and all that. I said yes, I know. We talked there for a few moments and we left. I will never see her again but I left something and she left something. There was a blessing that went out and there was a blessing that came back. And I think the ultimate one is going to be that little boy. Somebody understood her problem. I know when I was when I was a little boy and I’d misbehave my mother said, wait till your father gets home. And I am telling you when four o’clock came, my dad hit the door and I heard them talking in the other room. And my dad is an old Navy man and he still had that brass buckled belt, that the enlisted men wore, and if I heard that belt coming off and that brass sliding together the next word was my name. But you know even that, that my mother loved me enough to rat me out and my father loved me enough to follow through, meant a lot to me as I grew up. And I just tell these stories to say that children are very impressionable. And they remember things. Parents remember things. You can give these mom’s a break at the grocery store. My goodness, there is somebody out there who understands and there is somebody cared enough to say hello. We’re putting it back together, with the Lordship of Jesus Christ. And His Lordship extends to these little children. There is a lot of scriptures in there about how much Jesus loved the little children. Whether you were brought up in a church and don’t go anymore. Brought up in a church and you still go all the time. Or you weren’t brought up in a church at all. God still loves them. And we can do more for the future with these little children if we just open up to them. They open to us and we leave something behind that’s of the Lord.
