Welcome to Live Behind the Veil, where we explore the deeper realities of walking with God and living in his kingdom. In today's episode, we step into a powerful revelation of who God truly is, not just what He does, but is very nature. As we open this conversation, we begin to see that God is not simply loving.

He is love through every circumstance, every refining moment, and every step of our journey. His love is at work drawing us closer, shaping us, and bringing us into a deeper relationship with him. So take a moment, quiet your heart and lean in as we uncover what it really means to live in the fullness of his love.

Ken:

What is God? He’s love. Is there another description I can give about God? Because He’s a Spirit and He’s everywhere all at once. He’s in us, around us. He is the Kingdom and He is love. I think a lot of us think we know what the love of God is. I don’t think we understand yet the depth of God’s love.

It’s completely beyond our perception at this point, but I think that’s what we’re reaching into. That is the realm we’re reaching for. If we’re reaching for God in the highest realm, we’re reaching for the realm where He is consuming us with His love. The only thing that’s really important is to understand His love.

There’s an openness, I believe, that God is calling us to have in relationship to who He really is. And who He really is, is love. He’s not about love—He is love. It’s a heavy thing to really engage yourself totally in the love of God.

Roger:

God is always acting in our best interest. His love is defined as our best interest. He recognizes that things that are still in our lives seem good to us, but He sees they’re not in your best interest. They’re just going to take you this way or that way. They’re going to keep you from knowing Me the way I want you to know Me.

What we’ve always used, the term “God deals with”—that’s a really crappy phrase, honestly. God deals with… what He does is He begins to address the things in our lives that are not in our best interest. We may not be able to see it because He is always seeing the big picture and bringing us into Himself.

So the things that are not in our best interest, as far as knowing the Lord, we encounter the fire that burns things up—not because He is some sadist. He’s always acting in our best interest, whether we recognize it or not. And I think that’s where the faith factor comes in—where we either have faith in God’s love toward us, or we don’t.

God’s love can really be defined, or a definition is, His best interest toward us. It’s got nothing to do with emotion. It has to do with intent.

Dave:

Jesus had to learn obedience through the things that He suffered, so why would we be any different? We suffer under it because we’re still hanging onto it, and He’s trying to get rid of that stuff that’s not necessary for our walk with Him.

Lois:

God is love. He can’t be anything but love, and He’s a consuming fire. Whatever happens is His love—it depends on how we take it. Do you think the love of God is not shown toward hell? That’s the love. That fire is the love of God.

Ken:

It’s the ones who resisted.

Lois:

Who resisted it. God didn’t say, “I’m going to put the good ones over here and the bad ones over here.”

Ken:

They put themselves in that place. We go through sufferings and we say, “Oh man, come on, get me off of this situation. Get me out of it. I don’t like this thing.” Maybe we need to change our minds and say, “Lord, show me Your love.”

Lois:

Think it not strange, the fiery trial.

Ken:

There you go.

Lois:

“I’m still at work, guys. It’s still Me. Don’t think it’s strange. This is Me.”

Ken:

And so when we dwell in that place, when we live in that place, we are consumed with that place. And the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Why is the Lordship of Jesus Christ so important? This is why—when we stay in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we’re loving Him right where He is. I think the levels we’re reaching into right now are defined by His great love.

If you’re looking for something other than His love, you’re not looking for God. His love is the capstone of everything about Him. It’s love to complete. It’s love to bring forth. It’s love to save. You can’t talk about any aspect of God without saying it’s because of His love.

There’s not a time in our lives that He’s not working to fulfill everything that He is in us. Remember Jesus at the Last Supper—“Who’s going to be the greatest of all?” And He got up and prepared Himself to wash their feet. He said, “If you’re going to be the greatest of all, this is how you do it—you serve one another.”

Lord, let me serve You. Let me walk with You. Let me do Your will.

The greatest realm we’re ever going to reach into—I believe this with all my heart—is the fullness of His love. Trust in Me with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Me, and I will direct your path.

As people of God, we’re constantly being drawn into His love. Every time there’s pressure, what’s the first thing we do as sons? “Lord, I love You. I love what You’re doing. I love how You’re correcting and moving and leading me.”

We’re in a day where we’re being led by His Spirit, and His Spirit is full of love. It’s an element where it’s sustaining. This kind of love is sustaining. It keeps us. Keep yourself in the love of God.

Pat:

There’s such a hunger in our love that’s drawing us closer and closer. As we’re walking in the love, the light shines brighter and brighter, and the wisdom gets deeper and deeper. He’s creating us as His sons.

Lois:

Everything we have has been imparted to us by these great and precious promises. You’ve become partakers of the divine nature that was imparted. We do that for each other—this love that we’re talking about—we walk in it, we live in it.

Ron:

As we close today's episode. We're reminded that God's love is not distant or conditional. It is consistent, intentional, and always working for our best, even in the difficult moments. His love is refining us, drawing us closer, and bringing us into a deeper understanding of who he is. The invitation is simple.
