SUMMARY

In “Created to Speak His Word,” the family explores what it means to hear the Father and speak His living Word. Jesus is the pattern—He listened to the Father and spoke only what He received from Him.

The conversation emphasizes that hearing must come before speaking. As we wait on the Lord and draw closer to Him, His Word becomes part of us and can flow through us with greater life and authority. God desires a people who are sensitive to His voice and willing to become vessels through whom He can speak.

Created to Speak His Word

Ron:

Welcome to Live Behind the Veil. I'm Ron, your host, and in today's episode, Created to Speak His Word, the family shares about learning to hear the Father and becoming a people through whom He can speak. Jesus is our pattern. He listened to the Father, received from Him, and spoke what the Father gave Him to say.

As we learn to wait on the Lord, listen for His voice, and allow His Word to become part of us, we begin to speak with greater life, faith, and authority. So open your heart and join us as we explore what it means to be created to speak His Word.

Mike:

It's something when you can realize we put on many different faces. We're sons of God, we're the army of the Lord, we're the bride of Christ. Now we're beating up horns for crying out loud. We're supposed to blow our horns, our trumpets that we have become. We're also to become priests. So there's a lot to digest here in our brains about this stuff, but we trust that by impartation, the Spirit brings it to our hearts and our spirits, writes it on our hearts, writes it on our minds.

We don't have to struggle with this. We take it as the truth, and what He speaks is our life and it's our light, and it's who we are and what we're becoming as the word made flesh. For this day, for this hour, today is the day of salvation.

Ron:

The deeper you go or the closer you are to the Father's heart, the more you watch what you say.

You realize that the words you speak are creative. Anything that you speak, positive or negative, it doesn't die. It goes on and on and on. Especially if you're anointed, the Lord's anointing you to speak. What's that scripture that talks about greater is he who-

Ken:

Oh, greater is he that rules his spirit ...

Ron:

than he that conquers a city. It's the same thing.

Ken:

We have an example of what you're talking about. It was the Lord Jesus Christ. He said, "I only do those things or speak those words that I hear the Father speak or do." In reality, that's the truth. He only did those things. He only walked in that path that the Father showed Him to walk in, and speak those words that the Father gave Him to speak.

I know this in my heart, that as we look to the Lord and listen to what He's speaking to your heart as we speak, you're gonna find yourself speaking words you never even dreamed of speaking, or the way that you would speak them, because they're right from the Lord. I know that sounds audacious in one way, but in reality it's the truth.

Dale:

What you're saying, Ken, is important because hearing has to precede what we say. Hearing that we hear has to come alive within us. There's a tremendous amount of creation still left to be accomplished, and that creation is within us, within those that he has called to be sons. I think is least recognized about how Christ conducted himself was the amount of time that He took listening.

He would go off by himself, and we assume that it was a two-way conversation, and it may have been, but it was an impartation from the father to His son. That's why he encouraged us, "Pray. Ask for these things." And the putting on of the nature of the Son is a lot more achieved by hearing than by speaking, because we can say one word and change a nation, but that is backed up By those times and hours spent God creating you to speak that one word

Ken:

I'd say this in addition to that, let's never be afraid to speak the words that God's speaking to your heart Is it always gonna be perfect?

May not be. But remember this, you are the tabernacle of God. He lives within you. You can open your heart to hear His Word, and it may come from your brother. That triggered something in my spirit and the Lord said, "This is what I want you to speak." Maybe not in those words, but I knew it was. It's a leap of faith, guys, but it's what God's looking for in us.

Galatians I love Galatians. It was for freedom's sake that Christ set us free. Freedom to do what? Freedom to be what God called us to be, and that's those who stand and speak His Word and believe Him as He leads us by His Spirit. I don't want to be locked in or labeled or confined or religious in any sense of the word. I wanna be free to be that example of a vessel that's speaking a living word

Ron:

This thing of waiting on the Lord and this thing of speaking His Word is all together. It's not separate, it's together. And you may have times, and I have times, I think the Lord had a lot of times He went off and I think He listened.

And the Lord may not have spoke to His mind, but He knew that the Father was with Him and the Father was imparting something to His Spirit. And then when- ... He went to minister, that flow was there. It was, the Word was just a flow, the power, the authority was there. There, and there's a flip side of that coin, too, because I think when Jesus, you could say, came back from His time on, of being by Himself, He didn't disconnect and quit waiting on the Lord.

He was waiting on the Lord 24/7. It's all together. It's something that we're learning to ... We're not learning, we're becoming

Ken:

Here's another aspect of it, too. You can be doing something entirely different, thinking something entirely different, and the Lord will speak to your heart a word to speak.

And you go, you stop in your tracks and go, "Yes, Lord," and you speak His Word. I think there's so much freedom in the speaking of the Word, and that's the way it should be

Dale:

The main thing that God, I think, is trying to get across to us is give God a voice. There's many different situations that God wants to have His voice heard.

It can be in personal relationships. It can be in the business world. It can be in many places, and that key is have our ear tuned to what He's speaking. What is He saying? What does He want said?

Ken:

It's not about listening to a lot of different voices, it's about hearing the Lord in whatever it is we're experiencing.

Hearing His voice when He says, "This is the way. This is what you speak. This is what you do. This is what you open your heart to."

Mike:

This you know, my brother beloved, brethren, but let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. And in verse 18 it says, in the exercise of His will, He brought us forth by the word of truth so that we might be, as it were, the first fruits among His creatures And then in reference to John 1:12, the Gospel of John, "But as many as received Christ, to them He gave the right or power to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name."

Oh, and I forgot the punchline here. Even to those who believe in His name, who were born of God. We were born of God, not by the blood, nor by the will of the flesh, nor by the will of man. We are born of God, so we got His D- DNA in us.

Dale:

God is wonderful about keeping His word. We were created at the foundation of the Earth with Him, and we were brought forth at this time for a specific purpose, and that was to speak His word, create the kingdom, bring forth all of creation into a submission to the Father.

Debbie:

It's interesting when we come to the end of that. It's all you, Lord. It's all in your hands. It's the lordship of Jesus Christ. It's the presence of the Father. It's the glorifying of Him and the worship of His name, and then the speaking of His word. What He gives you to speak, you become a channel. You just become an empty channel for Him to speak that word.

You speak that which the Father's speaking to your heart. You minister that, and the Lord ministers what He wants out of that. We create the ears to hear and the hearts that respond to a word from God.

Ron:

Thank you for joining us today on Live Behind the Veil. God is creating a people who are learning to listen before they speak, to stay sensitive to His voice, and to become vessels through whom His word can flow. As we draw closer to the Father, may we become more aware of what He is speaking and have faith to speak His word as He places it within our hearts.

We invite you to join us again as we continue to explore the unfolding reality of Christ coming forth in His people.
