Hebrews 4:14-16
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 7:13-17
He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar.14 For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.15 And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, 16 one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. 17 For it is declared: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

ootsteps. You're here because:Ron
We're actually walking in this Word, and we're actually, I believe, starting to see fruit coming out of being priest, being those who worship, being those who keep their focus upon Him. No matter what you go through, keep waiting on Him, because that's part of the priesthood. You keep rising up, rising up into His presence, letting ever everything else fall away.
Dale
The prophets spoke the Word of God, but it was the priesthood that put it into practice - the teaching priests.
Ron
The difference between the prophet and the priest: the Prophet, you know, they, they come and they give a Word from God, and the people either opened up to it and repented and moved on, or they didn't. But the priest, they went before the Lord, they got the impartation, from the Lord, they imparted to the people. In other words, they actually shepherded them into His presence. It wasn't just speaking a Word, but it was actually the impartation. It was actually a shepherding.
Dale
He wants a people who can impart His nature. You can't impart something you don't have. And how do I get His nature? I'm a worshiper, it's through intercession, and worship. It's our heritage. It's our lineage.
Ron
What blows my mind about the priesthood? To be a priest, you have to stand in His presence, which means you stand in the fire of God. The refinements going all the time; you're walking through that fire all the time being refined. And yet, those are the ones that are going to be effective.
Dale
Samuel was a priest, how did he become a priest? His mom, His mom was so desperate for a child, she'd do anything. And she said, If you'll give me a child, I'll raise him up, I'll bring him in, I'll give him to You Lord. Somebody's done that for us. And over the years, they visited us with a new ephod every year. And I can rest now, in the fact that He has said, I want you to be a priest. There is a divine order and that starts with us becoming who we're supposed to be. God, you want me to be a priest, according to the order of Melchizedek, according to the order of your Son, who is my great high priest.
Deborah
That's why He created them to be exclusively given to the Father. We reach into minister to Him as He would have us minister. We are to be a kingdom of priests going into His presence. And from His presence we, we gain that strength, we gain the ability to minister to the Body of Christ.
Roger
lay our lives down for it in:Ken
The Lord laid down the pattern for the priesthood, in the last supper, this is what you do for each other, it symbolizing what we do for the family. It's not done out of obligation. It's done out of a sincere heart, that loves to give, without looking for any kind of reward. That you're giving something that they need such a provision that they don't have. You give it because you love and you love to give and no reward is expected. And that's what the Lord is looking for. He's looking for the pure priesthood.
Roger
I think the heart of the priesthood is more sensitive, and is more full of the love of the Father, than any function or ministry that's ever been in the earth. There's a sensitivity that God creates in His priesthood, they're acutely aware of God's need, and to be aware of His need is to be aware of His people's need. And so I think this business of the love of the Father in us, is the mark of the priesthood of Christ, because it loves like no other people have ever loved; it's something God creates in us. He creates His heart in us, and we're able to love and to lay down our lives the way He did. Like what you were saying Ken, He took that towel, girded Himself, washed their feet. There's something about that heart that gets created. It's the heart of Christ as it's related to His priesthood, that he reduplicates in us.
Ron
The priesthood is for the Father. And the whole point of it, is what He's getting out of it. Not what anybody else gets out of it. It's what He's getting out of it. If that's the case, there is definitely a refining or refinement, and a dying out that you go through, because it's not about what you want. It's not about your fulfillment's. It's what the Father is getting out of it. Having said that, He so identifies himself with His people, because that's where He resides. You know, it's all about the Father what He wants, and that's so to me, it's like I can't get my head wrapped around that. What does He want? He identifies Himself so completely with His people. And if that's where your heart is ministering, ministering to the Father, ministering to His spirit within His people, then I think you're actually doing that.
Roger
To the extent that you did it to the least of these My brethren. you did it to Me.
