Ron:

Welcome to Live Behind the Veil. I'm Ron, your host, and in this episode we explore what it truly means to live a life of worship, not just in moments of song, but as a continual state of being in God's presence. The conversation challenges traditional ideas of worship and opens the door to something deeper, a life.

We're standing before the Lord. Walking through trials and even serving others becomes an expression of worship. As we walk this out, we begin to see that worship is not something we turn on and off. It's something that flows from within as we choose daily to remain in him. Through refining, surrender and relationship, God is forming a people who worship him in spirit and in truth.

Ken:

We're on a journey with God, and there's a beginning and there's an ending, but He's brought us up to a point now where I truly believe that He's looking for a different kind of worship and a different kind of a prophetic community if that's what it is to be. And I think the Lord wants us to be not only a kingdom of priests.

But of prophets, how do we get there from here? I don't know. I think we just keep on walking with God and allow Him to show us.

Ed:

I really think it comes down to a choice. God wanted all of Israel to be His priest. Israel didn't have the heart for it. There were a few. He wanted all of them. He brought them right up to the mountain.

And spoke to them. The people said, no, we don't want to hear from God. We're too afraid of it. There has to be a thing in our heart where we're willing to hear the word of God. It may be very devastating to us when you come out the other side. You're walking in the joy of the Lord.

You're walking in everything that God has for you. I don't know of any person out there that really wouldn't want that, that has a walk with God.

Mike:

I really do believe when God had asked for the children of Israel to go up the mountain and they refused, if they would've gone up the mountain, I really believe they would've tapped into the priesthood of Melchizedek, not. settling for second best doing the Levites. This is where we partake of the better and the best. We get relationship to Melchizedek versus the Levites.

Ken:

Yeah, He wants worshipers on a 24 7 basis. Honestly, God has little segments of worship, whether it's with music or just a man getting alone with God and worshiping the Lord, but God's looking for that to be alive in our spirits all of the time in our walk and our relationship with God. He's looking for something that identifies with His eternal being.

Mike:

I really think it has to do with a stance in the Lord. To stand in His presence is a form of worship stand. They're synonymous in the total package of what the Lord's looking for. He wants a people that will stand in His presence if we're standing in His presence. All things are possible.

Ken:

What He's looking for and standing in His presence, when we go through things, when the devastations come, we're not moved. We trust and we stand in His presence.

Debbie:

And that's a form of worship.

Ken:

It is.

Debbie:

That's worship unto the Lord. Our thinking of what worship is music and a song that's not only worship.

That can be worship. Yes. Be a very effective worship. It can be standing in the presence of the Lord and just waiting on Him. It could be being in a crowd and just waiting on Him.

Ron:

If all worship was with singing, then what happens is when you quit singing, you quit worshiping.

Debbie:

And we never stop our worship to the Lord.

Ron:

That's the point.

Debbie:

Because our worship is because we're standing in His presence all the time.

Ken:

It's a creative force that God's put within us in this worship.

Ron:

It's not even important where our minds understand, what's important is that our spirits witness and move into it. Sooner or later, the understanding comes a little more and a little more.

We're going to live life and God's not gonna have us quit living life. We live life and so that we can be doing whatever we're doing. If we have that spirit of worship, He can move us on a dime. So we could be watching tv, we could be walking down the road, whatever, and the Lord. When we're not even thinking necessarily about God, we're just walking, we're just doing what we're doing.

Maybe you have a job that you're, it requires your whole mental capacity and focus. Does that mean that person can't walk with God because he has to focus on something that's. It's a demanding thing. He's gotta focus and his mind's gotta be focused. No, because if his spirit is in worship, guy could speak to him right in the middle of that.

I praise you, Lord. I worship you, Lord. It's already in your spirit. It's in your heart.

Ken:

I think that's the worship He is looking for. What you just said, it's in your spirit, it's in your heart. And so the expression of it comes out almost automatically under any circumstance. Here's another concept.

Jesus Himself illustrated to the disciples in that last supper that He was going to wash their feet. And in so doing, He said, this is what you do to each other. Could it be Lord, that as we wash one another's feet, it is a worship? To the Lord in that we're doing it to one of His sons, one of His people.

In fact, Paul illustrates this in Ephesians four, when he talks about building up the body of Christ. What is worship, but building up what God has created, in other words, speaking the truth into it and worshiping the Lord in the building up and bringing the sons into glory.

Mike:

Truth is Christ. If we operate in spirit and in truth, we're being obedient to the Father and in the spirit, things are manifested correctly before the Lord.

Any way else. It's not gonna be effective. It has to be done in spirit and in truth, or in Christ is another way of saying it.

Ken:

When you stand in His presence and speak what He speaking through you. It becomes a creative force that no one can stand against because that force is greater than any other force in the spirit of the living God.

Ron:

It's all worship. So whether you're moving as a prophet, whether you're moving as a priest, whether you are moving as a king, it's all worship to the Lord. It all creates the same spirit of worship.

Ken:

God created us to be worshipers. That's His creative force for us to be worshipers.

Dale:

We will be those priests that talks of in Revelation night and day before His throne.

Ken:

We are in that day of the refining fire, and we have, all of us have been thrown into the fire to some extent or another, and what is coming forth is His workmanship in us and freeing us from all of the entanglements, all of the things that would keep us from walking with Him and serving Him and loving Him and worshiping.

Dale:

No matter the devastation, no matter what God puts us through, the first thing out of our mouths should be, thank you Lord, because that refiners fire is doing what we can't do ourselves.

Debbie:

You choose who you're gonna worship and what you're going to do. You make a choice.

Ron:

That choice is actually given to everybody.

Christ died for everyone. They have the same choice every single day, whether they are aware of it or not, but He's not a respecter of persons, so He lays out salvation. It's for everybody. He lays out this thing about worshipers. It's for everybody. Anyone can enter into it if they so choose. I think it's a daily choice.

Ken:

It is.

Ron:

Every day is a choice to worship Him.

Ron:
