The Second Coming of the Holy Spirit

Ron:

Welcome to today's podcast, The Second Coming of the Holy Spirit. I'm Ron, your host, and in this episode, we explore what it means to receive the Holy Spirit by faith, enter God's rest, and recognize how His Spirit is moving throughout the earth. We'll discuss why salvation is only the beginning of our walk with God, and how the Holy Spirit transforms us, brings forth the nature of Christ within us, and prepares us to participate in God's purpose for His people and creation.

As you listen, open your heart to what the Holy Spirit is speaking to you today.

Ken:

I think we're going to find that this next level that we're reaching into right now is really an act of faith. You receive salvation by faith, the baptism of the Holy Spirit by faith. What about speaking the word of God by faith?

Ron:

Or just walking your daily life by faith. Every area.

Mike:

The other huge key is don't forget the fact that we need to enter His rest.

We do that by being in the presence of Christ, who's at the right hand of the Father, and the Father is the rest.

Ken:

That is the foundation. We're seeing revivals, people receiving the Spirit of the Lord and just going on and on for days at a time. People back in Florida, people all over the country, all over the world.

In Israel, I'm seeing that many are coming to know the Lord right now. Isn't that evidence of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit?

Ron:

This is the time things are happening in the earth, and we're creating it, we're speaking it, we're reminding the Lord, however you wanna say that, all of the above really. What you were saying, Ken, about- people coming to the Lord all over the earth, and actually in countries that are really known for anti-Christ, anti-God, anti-Christ.

And yet we're finding people coming to the Lord, having tremendous meetings with the Lord to the extent they're throwing the Koran in the river. That's a big deal because- Yeah ... they're putting their life on the line.

Debbie:

And they're standing out there and proclaiming.

Ron:

And proclaiming, and smiling, and worshiping and all that.

Holy mackerel, that is a huge deal.

Dale:

I think what you're saying, Ron, is really important to understand the day we live in, and the promise of the second coming of the Holy Spirit. Because it's set up to trigger the end time events, or what people call the end time events, when they're really the events of the of the coming again of the Holy Spirit, and the culmination of God's plan for human beings, you you could say, or the church.

The culmination of his plan for his people. And to us, we may think, "It came the first time, did such and such. Now the Holy Spirit's coming again, doing such and such. What's going on here?" And it's all about the culmination of what God intended from the foundation. So we can't relate to the second coming of the Holy Spirit with a human mind.

We relate to the second coming of the Holy Spirit by what it says in the word. What does he say in the scriptures about it? Who is the Holy Spirit? What does he bear? And of course we know about the feast of Pentecost, what it set in motion. But we're living in the day when God is moving by His spirit.

And that's the key. And he's moving among those who call upon His name, those who reach out to him in love, and those who reach out to him in repentance. You reach out to God, he will meet you with his Holy Spirit.

Ken:

The key of this whole thing and this is, will be difficult for a lot of people to hear, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth should not perish, but have everlasting life." And the truth of it is, whatever God does by all of these things that are happening in the world today, those signs are signs of the love of God.

Because God is calling all men to repent and turn to Him. So when these hard times come, and they're here, a lot of people are dying.

They're losing their lives by earthquakes and tsunamis and what have you, that are going on in the world. Men are crying out to God today, and God loves His creation. Really, in, in one sense of the word, to initiate a the calling of God to those people that are maybe on the edge of just giving their life to the Lord.

And He's saying, "Take your opportunity now." "Take your opportunity now."

Ron:

What you're talking about, Ken, as far as the catastrophes, if you wanna call it that, things that are happening all over the earth, the wars and the earthquakes and all that type of stuff, people blame that on a lot of things. But honestly, I believe that it's God moving.

And you go, "Why would God create a earthquake that people are being killed?" And well- He's gonna get through to His creation. He's breaking the hardness and the deadness and the rejection of Him. Whatever it takes, because of His great love, He's looking at it not the way humans look at it. Humans look at it in the temporal realm, the smallness of our vision, but He's looking at it for each person for eternity, the eternal relationship, the eternal destiny for each person on this earth.

He sees that, or at least He sees the potential for each person to walk with Him and to, to live with Him for eternity.

Okay? How does that happen if you're, if you have a hard heart, if you're totally distracted in your life and you're not seeking the Lord at all, or you don't even care about that?

How does He get through to you because He loves you so much and He's trying to draw you into something that's so much bigger than your present life? Which you would think would be, "This would be a wonderful life if I could have this and I could do this," and whatever. Whatever you come up with, He's got something so much larger and so much bigger than that.

Ken:

But what about trusting in the things that you hold dear to your life? For example, money, or for example, power, and buildings, and cars, and whatever it is. What if you're holding onto that? Because the truth is, they can be gone in a moment.

Debbie:

Or they have been gone in a moment, the twinkle of an eye. They're not eternal.

Lord God is only one that's eternal. If it takes that to cry out to Him, most people, when they're in that situation, do cry out to the Lord.

Dale:

He's got a plan for us that exceeds anything on the human level. He'll make you into a son. You may not be a son when you start out, but if you say, "Lord, I give you all that I am"- God in His mercy is working with us.

What we're doing with the second coming of the Holy Spirit is taking advantage of the provision. The Holy Spirit is the communication of the Father to His sons, and by virtue of that, we start to live our lives for Him and not for ourselves. And as we learn more about Him, what does He want from us? He wants to be worshiped.

He wants to be loved. He wants to be received, and that's really important, and that's what we see the Holy Spirit teaching us how to be like the Father, like the Son, like the Holy Spirit. One God, a triune being. He's teaching us how to be a delight to our Father in so many different ways, and it takes time.

Wake up every morning, open your heart to Him. Ask Him, "What are we doing today, Father? You show me." There's a place where you let Him direct your life in every way, and you didn't come up with that idea when you first said, "Okay, I receive Your salvation. Lord, You're gonna save me." That didn't happen overnight.

It happens because He has drawn you. Draw nigh unto me, and I'll draw nigh unto you. You go looking for Him, He'll let you find Him, but you've gotta go looking for Him first.

Ken:

So the Holy Spirit is what we're talking about here. I think a, a greater degree of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is what we're talking about today.

Things are happening today in a much quicker time period than we've ever seen before. When 5 million people turn to the Lord over just a period of a few months- the Holy Spirit's doing something great.

Ron:

This whole thing that we're talking about, all the different movings and all the different aspects and all the different workings of the Holy Spirit within us and within His people, it's all happening at one time.

The Holy Spirit is putting to death of the flesh. He's putting us to the cross, and we're dying out to our nature, dying out to our own thinking. But at the same time, He's regenerating and bringing forth Christ within us. He's bringing forth- Right ... a more depth of the Father's presence within us, a, a d- a deeper depth of the Word of God within us at the same time, and He's doing the same time on a larger scale throughout the whole Earth.

Some are just coming to Christ, but it's so important to understand that is just a very beginning stage of what the Holy Spirit's gonna do. And this is what's so important about this podcast and what we're speaking because it breaks the deception that- Right ... oh, I've got Jesus Christ in my heart and now I'm good to go, and everything's fine.

No, you just barely cracked the door open. You just barely started the first step into a walk with God, and He's going to do, if you allow Him and you open up, He's gonna do a lot, and that's what He's doing now. He's pouring out His Spirit. And why is He doing that? Because He's speeding up the process.

He's working on His Sons. Yes. He's working on His Body. He's working on the world, really, the whole c- His whole creation, not just the Body of Christ. He's working on creation itself. Yes. We are on the end time. We are in a culmination of the ages, and the awareness of that is starting to break upon us that God is moving by His Spirit today, and it is a big deal.

It is not a small, little thing, and it's not the r- it's not the limited religious doctrinal things that have been taught out there. It is so much bigger than that because He's doing it. He's the Creator. We are the clay, He is the potter, and He is doing something in our lives. And we can resist it, but God will just deal with us.

He'll just work with us 'cause of His love. He will continue to work with us until we open up, we open up.

Mike:

Father is set in His heart to see creation set free, and it's gonna be set free through His Sons. It's us coming out of this chrysalis, this cocoon, into being the butterflies He's destined us to become, and I think we're this close to it.

So what's the trigger? What's the key to make it happen? Our faith, our trust, the Holy Spirit, the second coming of it.

Ron:
