Why is it that most of Christianity today relates much more to Jesus than they do to God the Father? Jesus came to show us how to relate to Him, even pointing it out in the Lord’s prayer, “Our Father who art in heaven”. He was teaching the disciples to pray to the Father, not to Him.
Think about growing up in what the world considers a normal family, with a father and mother, along with 2-3 siblings with one being an older brother. Who would you go to when you need some money, help with something or just a wonderful touch, your older brother or your father? Your Father usually is the one to cover you and give you things you need.
So let me ask you this. Who provided all that we have in the earth? Who created the heavens and the earth and who actually formed us humans and gave us life? It was God the Father, creator of everything. Christ was with the Father in the beginning, but it was Father, God who did it all.
The Word (the Bible) clearly points out that there are three different, distinct entities, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. It is also very clear that our Heavenly Father sent His Son (Jesus) to live in human form, to experience what we as humans experience and to die for our sins. If you can grasp this, it is kind of like you are hanging out with your older brother and you both are crossing a pond on thin ice. You fall through the ice and in the process of your brother pulling you to safety, he ends up drowning in your place.
The Word says that Jesus is the way (the open door) on how we are to relate to and have a real relationship with the Father, not just with Him.

What a simple real statement of delineation between who the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is to us right where we are in our reaching in Faith to grasp its significance!
