For a marriage to be a success, each partner needs to view their relationship with the
Lord as most important. With that relationship as a focus, then God can give wisdom in
how to keep the marriage relationship alive and growing. A deep commitment to have
open and honest communication is needed in order for the couple to come through life
storms.
Having a God centered relationship provides a foundation of love and integrity which
the human cannot produce on his own. As each partner gives special attention to
expressing his or her love for each other, they are nurturing the relationship to grow in
developing common goals and a tighter commitment. This means a set of heart and
determination to not allow any division between you.
Beyond the basics of creating a good relationship with our partner, each person in the
marriage needs to work on serving God together. Having someone in our life who feels
the same way about loving God, worshiping and serving Him adds a new dimension into
