There are moments in worship when we catch a glimpse of just how much God loves us. Years ago, I asked myself if I was truly experiencing all of His love, or only a portion. The Spirit revealed something profound—that if the Father were to pour out the fullness of His love directly upon me in this mortal body, the weight of it would be more than I could bear. Instead, His love is imparted through Jesus Christ, making it possible for us to receive and live in His love even now. One day, when this mortal body is clothed in immortality, we will stand before our Father without fear or limitation and say, “Lay it on me, Dad!”—embracing the boundless love of God for all eternity.
Scripture reminds us that “His lovingkindness is everlasting” (Psalm 136). This everlasting love was first revealed in His Son, Jesus Christ, the One who makes it possible for us to know the Father. Through Christ, we are adopted into the Family of God and empowered to share the Father’s love with one another. The Kingdom of God is being built in and through His people, and His love flows from the Father, through Christ, and into us. As Jesus declared in John 10:27–29, those who follow Him are secure in His hands and in the hands of the Father. What peace and confidence this brings, knowing that nothing can separate us from His love!
