We know who the Firstborn Son is. He is Jeshua (Hebrew name), Jesus Christ (Greek name). But who are those sons?
John 1:12 states, “But as many as received Christ, to them He gave the power to become children of God.” Then, as we mature in the faith, Galatians 3:26 says, “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” In Romans 8:14, “Those who are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Verse 19: “For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.”
The sons are coming to birth as they find their abiding place in the Father. This deep hunger after Him is creating a relationship with the Lord that brings forth an awareness of who we are as sons of God. Now we manifest His presence as the Lord is glorified in His saints and admired by all who believe. There is this deep ache in our hearts to know Him.
When we know the Lord, He is demonstrating Himself through us wherever we go, in whatever we are doing. This is who we are in the body of Christ—it’s our ministry—bringing people into more awareness of the Lord. All that they are going through is not in vain, but the Lord is being glorified. The Father’s heart is being manifested through His sons in this Kingdom day we are now in!
How am I actively receiving Christ today—not just in belief, but in daily relationship and obedience to His Spirit?
What steps can I take to deepen my abiding place in the Father, so His presence is more real in my life?
Where in my life can I allow the Lord to be glorified more fully, even through difficult or uncertain situations?
